About Us

Our Vision Statement

All parents in Jamaica – whether by virtue of having given birth, adoption or serving as guardians – recognize, accept and discharge their duty to ensure that the rights of the child are always upheld, the best interest of the child is always promoted and the child is always loved and provided with opportunities and resources within a safe, caring and nurturing environment, to achieve his/her full potential and ultimate fulfilment.

Our Mission Statement

The NPSC will guide and coordinate agencies that provide parenting and family development services and encourage collaboration between home and school so that parents and teachers may work intelligently and share in developing the skills needed to raise, protect and educate their children.

Ministry of Education, Youth, and Information (MoEYI):

The National Parenting Support Commission is an agency under the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information. The NPSC works with the seven education regions for the implementation of parenting programmes in schools and communities.
